As many of you have noticed, the Christmas event did not only bring new features, it also came with some new bugs.

In order to fix these, we need to close the server for about one hour at 11:00 GMT (UK time). We hope to have everything up and running fine rigts after that :)

Update: Servers are online!

Dear Settlers,

The server is back ONLINE! We need more people to test if everything is okay, so please be so kind and give us feedback on the forum about the following things:

• Buffing (friends)
• Visiting friends
• Adventures
• Daily Login Bonus
• Chat, Trade 

Thank you very much for your patience, we will be compensating you for time lost, more information about that will follow.

In case you already had adventures running: we added bonus time to them to compensate the lost time. (Update: we would have done this if someone was already level 26+ , seems we got carried away :p)

We also will send compensations out next week for the server outage!

Update 22:16 GMT+1: It seems the website is back up again, but we're not sure for how long.

Dear players,

just a short update on the current status of the website and game.

We were experiencing multiple MYSQL errors starting Thursday, that spread throughout our entire network. Our French and Russian instances were also affected, as well as the (new) German server 8, as it's on the same system. Our technicians are working round the clock to get all systems up and running, so far the website and forums are back up.

We have nearly all our high level technicians from Europe and America on this, and if everything goes well during the night, we might be able to get the first servers up by tomorrow (no promises yet, as we want them stable first! )

In the event that the Website and Forum go down again, be sure to keep track of any news regarding the situation through our Facebook fanpage

Short update #2: it could be that the website and forum will give errors for some players, as well in as in our system. I am trying to convince the technicians to keep the website and forum up as long as possible, but if our website servers crash again, there will be the inevitable maintenance page again.

Dear Settlers,

As the Polish server is in preparation and should open soon, we have decided, EXCEPTIONALLY, to let Polish players use the Global-2 chat as well as a specific sub-forum.

BB_xaar, the Polish Community Manager, is joining us to guide these players and to help them migrate once the Polish server opens. We hope this will make it easier for all players to communicate and that the game experience for the Polish players will be better.

Please remember that this is only temporary and will end once the Polish server opens. We kindly ask you to continue using English on ALL chats and in the forum as it remains the official language for this server. Using English enables all players to discuss and exchange together.

w związku z tym, że polska wersja gry The Settlers Online powinna już niedługo ruszyć, postanowiliśmy umilić pobyt polskim graczom na serwerze angielskim. Tymczasowo (tylko do uruchomienia polskiej wersji projektu) oddajemy Wam do dyspozycji kanał Global-2 (aby wejść na ten kanał, wystarczy w grze wydać polecenie: /joinchat global-2) oraz dział na forum (Tymczasowe polskie forum) - można tam swobodnie pisać po polsku. Prosimy pamiętać o tym, że na wszystkich pozostałych kanałach w grze i działach na forum obowiązuje język angielski.

Do naszego zespołu dołączy polski Community Manager BB_xaar, który będzie zajmował się graczami z Polski. Zachęcamy do skorzystania z tej wyjątkowej okazji na zdobycie doświadczenia, dzięki czemu Wasz start na polskich serwerach będzie jeszcze łatwiejszy.

Przypominamy, że po otwarciu polskiej wersji gry, używanie języka polskiego na tym projekcie (zarówno w grze jak i na forum) będzie niedozwolone.
