18.03.2026Issues Caused by Downtime Resolved (done)
Dear Settlers,

The implementation of certain bug fixes caused some unexpected issues during today's maintenance work, which in turn led to some zones being locked in the game.
To address this issue immediately and unlock the blocked zones without any further delay, we temporarily had to take down the game worlds for a second time. The problems have been resolved and all game worlds are available once again.
In order to implement the bug fixes we had to abandon during today's downtime, we will take all game worlds offline for a short time on Thursday, March 19:
- Day: Thursday, March 19
- Game Worlds: All game worlds
- Start: ~ 09:00 CET
- End: ~ 10:00 CET
- Adventures & Premium: Times will be extended
In addition, the European English forum will not be available temporarily between 09:00 and 12:00 CET on March 19.
We apologise for any troubles.

10.03.2026Preview: Our Plans for 2026
Dear Settlers,
It is hard to believe, but we are already nearing the first anniversary of The Settlers Online coming under CipSoft's wings. This has been a challenging, educational, and satisfying time for us all at once. Digging into such a storied project as TSO and keeping it running at the same time is a bit like wandering through a labyrinth: Sometimes you hit a dead end and have to turn back, progress seems to crawl to a halt, and creating an accurate map to navigate by is a frustrating process that requires much effort.

Steps like the server migration, integration of MultiPayer, fixing historical issues, and the upcoming switch of the account system are not exactly exciting, but they are an important foundation for our future plans with TSO. To build this future, we have doubled the headcount of the developer team working on TSO since the takeover and are continuting to look for reinforcements. Of course, growth does not magically result in new content sprouting out of the ground: Onboarding new members and creating efficient structures consumes time and energy without leading to results that are immediately visible to you.
It is within this context that we want talk about our goals for 2026, the scope of which may appear rather humble to you. But what we want to avoid is promising too much, too quickly. We want to be realistic and take our time laying those important foundations, giving us the best possible starting point for the future.
In the wake of the account migration, we want to reactivate some existing functions that had to be disabled during the takeover phase and give the homepage a thorough rework. Aside from a more modern and user-friendly design as well as strengthened security, we are mainly aiming for performance gains in this area, which will be to everyone's benefit. The forum will remain as it is for now, though we are aiming to modernize it in the future.
You can expect the entire annual event calendar to play out as usual, though we will continue to sprinkle in some of our own flair to keep things fresh. In addition, we remain committed to fixing known issues and improving the game's performance. For example, we recently exorcised the tech demons possessing Brohmann, the Raider, making him usable without any danger to the contents of your star menus at last.
In regards to new features, we have put one of your biggest wishes at the top of our priority list: the mass sending of specialists. We are currently evaluating all the existing concepts and suggestions around this function and plan to make whichever we end up choosing the first new feature we develop.
When it comes to substantial additions of fresh content, we will have to ask you for more patience. Of course, that does not mean that we do not have a couple of smaller surprises up our sleeves that you can look forward to.
Thank you for your continued support!
Your CipSoft Team

04.03.2026Account Migration
Dear Settlers,
As part of The Settlers Online's transition to CipSoft, we have already announced a switch of the game's login system away from Ubisoft Connect to an account system dedicated to TSO in order to ensure secure and stable access to the game for the future. We have worked on this process over the past weeks and are now ready to take this step together with you.

We will start off with the United States of America on March 4, followed by all other territories on March 11. The homepage may be unavailable for a few minutes during the rollout between 09:00 and 09:30 CET. From that point onward, you will have the opportunity to migrate your TSO account from Ubisoft Connect to CipSoft.
We have made this process as seamless as possible: After logging in as usual by clicking the Ubisoft button on the login page, navigate to your profile on the homepage and select the option that allows you to migrate your account. Upon choosing this step, all you have to do is enter your email address and create a new password. After confirming your agreement to the terms of service and acknowledging the privacy policy, you will have successfully migrated your account and will be able to use it to access the game. We have prepared a step-by-step guide to this process in the forum. Once you have switched over to CipSoft's system, you will no longer be able to use your Ubisoft Connect account to log in and play TSO. Naturally, this will not impact your Ubisoft Connect account in any other way.
In case you are playing in several territories, be aware that you will have to migrate your account separately for each region. Please note that after the transition, the top bar on the homepage will once again display your player name if you are logged in, which could be different from the account name shown there now.
While logging in via Ubisoft Connect will remain possible for some time, the system will be completely decoupled from TSO in the future. We will give you a heads-up before the game becomes inaccessible through Ubisoft Connect, but we are kindly asking you to take part in the transition process as soon as you can to avoid any potential issues down the line.
We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding up to this point and, once more, warmly welcome you to CipSoft!
